Music is my drug...

Hello again!

Today I'm going to talk about Music, I think music has become so fucking important for me, it has been there for me when I really need it.

Ok, first of all, I love Rock and Metal! I started listening to Rock when I was about 8 years old, when I used to spend my time with my uncle, Mauro. We used to listen Chancho en Piedra and Red Hot Chili Peppers jaja, but  I met Metal at 13 years old. I used to spend my time with my older brother, and one day he said "check this"; it was a video of a band called Arch Enemy, and I just fell in love with the band, so he started to talk me about Metal and he showed me the different genres of Metal and what they meant, he started lending me some discs of other bands, but none of them was like Arch Enemy. Besides in that time I was in the "grunge mood" so the Arch Enemy thing was a personal secret for me xD. When time passed I started to realized that I had more discs of Metal than discs of Grunge, so when I was 15 I recognised myself as a metalhead.

I really love Metal, there are so many genres of Metal, all of them with their own style; Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal, Folk Metal, Simphonic Metal, Doom Metal, Power Metal, Black Metal, and so others . . . I like most of them (I really hate Glam Metal, I find them disgusting... PUAJ!), but I have my favourite genre... Death Metal, but mostly; Swedish Metal, some of my favourite bands are Arch Enemy, At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity. I found a community in where people feel like I do, when they respect what you think, and what you are, I`m so happy of beeing myself. I`m proud of beeing a Metalhead.

Bilingualism

Ok, here we go again.

What does bilingualism means?

Most people know that bilingualism is the ability to speak or write in 2 different languages, and that is right. But I remember that some teacher talked about what bilingualism is; she said that a bilingual person is someone who grew up listening two different languajes. For example, a girl from Chile (Let's name her Ivana xD) meets some beautiful guy from Sweden, and they get married, then they have a child. This baby has a Chilean mother and a Swedish father, so he'll grow up talking two languajes; Spanish and Sweedish. He is a bilingual person, so he can easily talk Spanish or Swedish language in a fluent way. I mean, I'm not saying that teacher is right or wrong, but it caught my attention. You have the chance to choose what you want to believe.

Learning another language can help you in many ways, I think it is always necessary for us to know how to communicate with other people, even if he/she isn't from your country.

About writing...

Hello there, the next task is about what I am doing right know; Writing.

I think I've always liked writing, it's just I've never thought about it before.

Writing is like a therapy for me, is a healthy way of release, a way of conection with myself. So here I am, writing in English.

Do I like English? Yes, I fucking do. Do I know how to write in English? Damn, I'm trying to do it correctly. Actually, I didn't know I could write in English, or at least, to write a coherent paragraph or a entire page. I think getting at the University show me things I never thought I could do. Maybe pressure makes me wake up of certain skills I don't made the most.

I wrote some essays in my mother tongue few years ago when I was in High School, but it wasn't so difficult to make, I think we can write them more easily because we have previous tools we know, but with English we have not the enough tools, so we make mistakes.

I expect to learn how to write correctly in this course, I think it is very important for us, as future teachers, to know English so we could teach in a appropiate way.
