My teenage dream...

I'm not really the kind of person who is always thinking what to be or to do in the future, because all the thing I wanted to do I do not want it anymore. I first remember I wanted to be pediatrician till I stopped playing with dolls, then I wanted to be policewoman but my dad convinced me not to do it... what a wise man jajaja. So, time passed and my likes changed too.

Ok, when I was in high school, people asked me what would I like to be and I always said "I want to be a rock star!" Yes, I know it is not possible for me but at 16 it was cool thinking I would play bass in a band. I dreamed with the idea of being in a band, going to metal gigs, knowing the entire country and knowing metalheads in those places. I thought I would work with friends 5 days a week and resting when I wanted to. I remeber I wanted to be like Angela Gossow from Arch Enemy or Rachel van Mastrigt-Heyzer from Sinister (picture). . . I was so brutal and mean jajaja.

I have to admit I still thinking that having a band would be cool, but if I had it I would look for the opportunity of going to Sweden and marry a hot Swedish metalhead xD

There are ghosts around us. . .

"Ghost Whisperer" is about Melinda Gordon, an owner of an antique store who has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts, dead people who can't leave this world, so she helps them to solve their unfinished business and cross over into the light. Of course she has his life, she is married with Jim, a firefighter who has not can not see ghosts but adore her and support her in every way. She also has collaborators who help ghosts too; Andrea Marino, Melinda's best friend who runs the antique shop with her and Rick Payne, a professor at Rockland University.

I love this TV show, it is hard to find series which talk about ghosts seer and I found it interesting to know about, because I believe in energy around us; good and evil.

As I say before, I found it interesting to know about energy and lost spirits in earth, and there are seers like Melinda who tries to help them cross over. I also love the way she does not mention nothing about God, Satan or religions; she talks about good and evil energies around us every day, but we should not renegade them because they are real and some of them are lots and need help to rest in peace.

Movies!

Today I am going to talk about movies; I do not know if I have a favorite one, there are lots of fantastic movies out there.

One of my favorite movies is Forrest Gump. The film was based on a novel "Forrest Gump" written by Winston Groom. It was directed by Robert Zemeckis, with Tom Hanks as Forrest, wich is also one of my favorite actors.

I do not really remember the first time I saw it, I was a child and I founded on TV. Oh, dear. I saw it so many times! I think the story is very touching and griping. I think if you have time to see it without move, you could laugh and cry after a few minutes. Ok, that is what happened to me, I felt so emotive and happy that I wanted to watch it every day. I have to say with Forrest Gump I learned my first sentences in English; I watched it so many times that I learnt and memorized by hear several dialogues in English, something I had never though that I could do.

Culture Clash

Ok, first of all. I'd never heard what "Culture Clash" mean, so I had to make a little research about it.

According to what I read, Culture Clash is when two or more cultures disagree about their believe or way of life.

Globalized world bring us the opportunity to know about the different cultures in the whole world, ok not all of them but you can learn about several cultures, and the truth is that I am really interested in cultures, mostly ancient cultures. Actually, I though if I don't like teaching in the future I would study Antrophology. So I really respect and appreciate different cultures in the world, because all of them have the same objective or gold; the common good.

According of what I found on Internet, one example of Culture Clash could be comparing the Indian culture and the Japanese culture about animals rights. Indian people believe that animals like the cow are sacred so they protect them but people from Japan used to eat a lot of animals, they even eat human fetus!

I am not really the person who refuses to eat animals, I have to say I love eating meat, but I detest abuse against animals, I protect them the way I can because I think they have the feelings we have, but the love they give is just unconditional. Our culture is not very into right animals, but we should worry about empathy and stop being selfish thanking Mother Earth for what we have.

Music is my drug...

Hello again!

Today I'm going to talk about Music, I think music has become so fucking important for me, it has been there for me when I really need it.

Ok, first of all, I love Rock and Metal! I started listening to Rock when I was about 8 years old, when I used to spend my time with my uncle, Mauro. We used to listen Chancho en Piedra and Red Hot Chili Peppers jaja, but  I met Metal at 13 years old. I used to spend my time with my older brother, and one day he said "check this"; it was a video of a band called Arch Enemy, and I just fell in love with the band, so he started to talk me about Metal and he showed me the different genres of Metal and what they meant, he started lending me some discs of other bands, but none of them was like Arch Enemy. Besides in that time I was in the "grunge mood" so the Arch Enemy thing was a personal secret for me xD. When time passed I started to realized that I had more discs of Metal than discs of Grunge, so when I was 15 I recognised myself as a metalhead.

I really love Metal, there are so many genres of Metal, all of them with their own style; Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal, Folk Metal, Simphonic Metal, Doom Metal, Power Metal, Black Metal, and so others . . . I like most of them (I really hate Glam Metal, I find them disgusting... PUAJ!), but I have my favourite genre... Death Metal, but mostly; Swedish Metal, some of my favourite bands are Arch Enemy, At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity. I found a community in where people feel like I do, when they respect what you think, and what you are, I`m so happy of beeing myself. I`m proud of beeing a Metalhead.

Bilingualism

Ok, here we go again.

What does bilingualism means?

Most people know that bilingualism is the ability to speak or write in 2 different languages, and that is right. But I remember that some teacher talked about what bilingualism is; she said that a bilingual person is someone who grew up listening two different languajes. For example, a girl from Chile (Let's name her Ivana xD) meets some beautiful guy from Sweden, and they get married, then they have a child. This baby has a Chilean mother and a Swedish father, so he'll grow up talking two languajes; Spanish and Sweedish. He is a bilingual person, so he can easily talk Spanish or Swedish language in a fluent way. I mean, I'm not saying that teacher is right or wrong, but it caught my attention. You have the chance to choose what you want to believe.

Learning another language can help you in many ways, I think it is always necessary for us to know how to communicate with other people, even if he/she isn't from your country.
